Make Yourself Home

What are you bringing in?

The black-billed magpie is my favorite bird. A relative of crows, ravens, and jays, they have stunning iridescent blue and green plumage and are native to the mountainous regions of the western United States and Canada. Every spring, they build uniquely intricate dome-shaped nests in trees or open ground. Stories say that magpies have a habit of collecting interesting objects to decorate these nests so that they can be surrounded by beauty as they hatch their eggs and raise their fledglings.

Our bodies and minds are the home for our soul. Just like magpies collect objects for their nests, we collect energy from our surroundings that line the walls of that home. Sometimes the stress from our life can be heavy, dull, and draining. It can be easy to put difficult emotions on the back burner rather than sit with them and integrate their lessons. But with intention, we can release negativity and restore balance to our energy, bringing resilience and peace back to our soul.

Dōm Means “Home”

When I first visited the mountains of western North Carolina, I felt the deep calling of the Appalachians. The serene beauty of the forests, the rivers, and the rolling hills are full of ancient energy that has a special way of connecting to us. I knew right away that this was home, and that I wanted to share my passion for healing with my community here and beyond.

Dōm Healing Studio started off with the idea to make yourself home. The goal of my practice is to integrate emotion and harness energy that leaves you feeling empowered, balanced, and more open to joy. Maybe you’re seeking relief from negative experiences, clarity in your life’s journey, or simply a moment of stillness. Using a toolkit of energetic healing practices, I am here to guide you every step of the way.

Welcome home.
