Make Yourself Home
What are you bringing in?
The rising bird seen in the Dōm logo is a black-billed magpie, my favorite bird. A relative of crows, ravens, and jays, they are a folk symbol of living a life led by curiosity.
Stories describe magpies as collectors of beautiful and interesting objects, gathering pieces of the world around them to create intricate nests. I love this idea: that the things we notice, experience, and choose to surround ourselves with become a part of the places we call home.
Our bodies and minds are also our home. Throughout our lives, we collect experiences, emotions, memories, and energy from the world around us. Some things nourish us. Some things ask to be acknowledged and released. Through curiosity, intention, and awareness, we can create more space for connection, creativity, and joy.
Dōm Means “Home”
When I first visited the mountains of Western North Carolina, I felt the deep calling of this place. The forests, the rivers, and the rolling hills carried a sense of wonder that felt somehow mysterious and familiar at the same time. I knew I wanted to build a life here and create a space where others could explore their own curiosity and wellbeing.
Dōm began with the idea of making yourself home. It is a place to get curious, explore, and experience wellness in a way that feels intentional and deeply personal.
Through reiki, sound, meditation, and other mindful practices, I offer thoughtfully designed wellness experiences. Dōm is here as a space to explore what wellness can mean.
About Maggie
I have always been drawn to the places where curiousity, creativity, and connection meet. My own journey through energy work led me to explore the many ways we can support our wellbeing, not only through healing, but through collected experiences that help us slow down and connect.
I am a certified Reiki Master (Third Degree) in the Usui Shiki Ryoho lineage and a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. My approach is intuitive and grounded in the belief that each person’s experience is unique. I create space for you to connect with what you need in the moment, whether that is creativity, rest, or a moment of pause.
I am deeply grateful to call the mountains of Western North Carolina my home, and to share Dōm with this community and beyond.
